The World Vocabsâ„¢ Quick Vocabâ„¢: Audio Lesson

Why QUICK VOCABâ„¢?

Normal vocabulary practice can't keep your mind focused

Quick Vocabâ„¢ keeps you focused with the use of audio, visual and muscle memory! You are speaking along with the vocabulary, listening to the vocabulary and using your eyes to follow along with the lesson.  All of these things help you remain focused on learning the vocabulary and help with memorization.

Normal vocabulary lessons do not teach you pronunciation

Quick Vocabâ„¢ is an audio vocabulary lesson geared towards pronunciation! The lessons are formatted for follow along, spoken practice.  You will be able to hear a native speaker pronounce a word and immediately practice speaking that word yourself.

Normal vocabulary practice does not teach you how the words sound

Quick Vocabâ„¢ provides native audio for each vocabulary word or phrase! The crisp audio in our lessons will give you time to listen to how each word sounds, multiple times and can easily be repeated for additional practice.

Normal vocabulary practice requires a lot of research and copying

Quick Vocabâ„¢ has done the research and copying for you! With each category you will receive audio and visual vocabulary guides that can be used together or separately.  You will not have to look up the definition to 500 words or copy them into notecards or vocabulary sheets.

Four Main Difficulties with Speaking a Language

  • Through our experiences communicating in another language, we've determined four main difficulties that language learners face when speaking to someone in another language:

DIFFICULTY 1: NOT HAVING A LARGE ENOUGH VOCABULARY

  • A limited vocabulary prevents your ability to communicate with a native speaker

SOLUTION = INCREASE YOUR VOCABULARY

  • In order to understand and speak in a foreign language, it is necessary to have a certain level of vocabulary knowledge.  This is where World Vocab comes in!

QUICK VOCABâ„¢ = VOCABULARY LESSON!

Audio Vocabulary Lesson
  • Quick Vocabâ„¢ is audio vocabulary lessons with a simple to use/simple to start format

DIFFICULTY 2: NOT UNDERSTANDING WHAT IS SPOKEN

  • Listening to most audio geared towards a classroom environment does not prepare you for how words and phrases are truly pronounced in the native tongue.  They tend to slow down the audio and attempt clean and crisp pronunciation in their lessons.

SOLUTION = PRACTICE LISTENING

  • Practice Listening to Natives!  It is very important to listen to how words are pronounced by native speakers that are NOT professional voice-over artists.  This will help you recognize words that are naturally spoken by a native.

QUICK VOCABâ„¢ = NATIVE AUDIO!

Practice Listening
  • Quick Vocabâ„¢ lessons are produced by day-to-day native speakers.  You will spend your time learning how words are ACTUALLY spoken

DIFFICULTY 3: NOT BEING UNDERSTOOD WHEN YOU SPEAK

SOLUTION = PRACTICE PRONUNCIATION

  • The majority of language learners, before they can truly immerse themselves in the culture, continually pronounce words incorrectly and with the incorrect intonation.

  • Practice more pronunciation! Pronunciating words correctly during a conversation is a must in order to communicate fluently with a native speaker.

QUICK VOCABâ„¢ = NATIVE VOICE!

  • Quick Vocabâ„¢ audio is spoken only by native speakers.  This means you are learning truly NATIVE pronunciation in our audio learnings.

DIFFICULTY 4: NOT SOUNDING NATIVE

  • Incorrect use of gender articles is another signifier that you are not a native speaker

SOLUTION = LEARN GENDER WITH VOCABULARY

  • Always practice vocabulary WITH gender articles! One of the only ways to memorize gender articles is to repeatedly pair them with the vocabulary

QUICK VOCABâ„¢ = GENDER IS VOCAB

  • Quick Vocabâ„¢ teaches you to combine vocabulary and gender articles as one entity
